The Spineless Barrel Cactus originates from central Mexico and although slow growing is easy to care for if kept on a sunny windowsill and moderately watered. It is important to ensure good drainage and not soak the body of the cactus. After watering, allow the compost to dry out completely before watering again. The plant will experience a dormant period through winter when watering should be stopped almost completely.
